An acid and its salt forms may have different properties and requirements. Product names, CAS numbers and supplied forms should agree across the documents.
Define what matters
Compare the specification parameters relevant to your application. Include test methods, units and any required limits, not only a headline concentration.
Validate in your process
A matching name does not prove interchangeable performance. Use your own application and qualification testing before approving a substitution.

Request the current TDS and SDS for the exact grade. Review batch documentation at the appropriate stage and record any agreed commercial specification.
